Last month, MacDowell celebrated the first anniversary of renewably generating all electrical energy powering the Peterborough facility with a new 131.50 MWh solar array. Combined with an array completed in 2016, it harnesses the sun’s energy for lighting, heating, and cooling, preventing nearly 700 tons of carbon emissions from being released into the atmosphere each year.
