Alice Adams is an American artist known for her sculpture and public art projects in urban settings across America. Early in her career, she worked in weaving, but eventually translated that into sculpture, creating woven patterns on a larger scale. Later sculptures used architectural elements, and she produced larger, public art pieces. She has earned many awards and grants, including an Artist’s fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
