Amy Williams is a composer and pianist based at the University of Pittsburgh where she is a professor. She travels the world with her ensemble dedicated to promoting contemporary works, the Bugallo-Williams Piano Duo. She is also the artistic director of the New Music on The Point Festival in Vermont.

While at MacDowell, Williams composed On and On, a work for two pianos that will be premiered in Basel, Switzerland in June 2022 by her ensemble. She spent “many glorious hours” in her studio practicing for her upcoming solo concerts in Stuttgart and Vermont. She also began work on a piano trio for the Junction Trio, which will premiere in November 2022 in Denver.
