Ana Kinsella is an Irish writer and the author of the forthcoming novel Frida Slattery As Herself, to be published in May 2026 by Ecco (U.S.A.) and Scribner (U.K.). This novel, about the complex and shifting relationship between an actor and a theatre director spanning two decades, is her first. It follows her first nonfiction book, Look Here (2022), about walking the streets of London. Her nonfiction has also been published in n+1, frieze, the Financial Times Magazine, the Irish Times, and many others, and her short fiction has been published in Granta.

While at MacDowell, Kinsella worked on a first draft of her second novel, currently untitled.
