Andrea Lawlor teaches writing at Mount Holyoke College, is the recipient of a Whiting Award for fiction, and has been awarded fellowships by Lambda Literary, Radar Labs, and Ucross. Their publications include a chapbook, Position Papers (Factory Hollow Press, 2016), and a novel, Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl (Rescue, 2017; Vintage, 2019).
At MacDowell, Lawlor wrote prose poems to be included in another volume in the Position Papers series, which imagines daily life in a near-future queer anarchist seceded Western Mass.

Sorosis
Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small,
masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also
designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
