Anna Zamecka is a writer and director whose films blur the line between fiction and documentary. Her work has been exhibited at many international festivals and venues. Her acclaimed feature-length debut Communion premiered in Locarno in 2016 and won the Critics’ Week Award, received the European Film Award for Best European Documentary of 2017, and was shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature at the 91st Academy Awards.
While at MacDowell, she worked on the script for her next hybrid feature film, Sun.
