Anna Zamecka is a writer and director whose films blur the line between fiction and documentary. Her work has been exhibited at many international festivals and venues. Zamecka’s acclaimed feature-length debut, Communion, premiered in Locarno in 2016, receiving a Critics’ Week Award, and the European Film Award for Best European Documentary of 2017. It was also shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature at the 91st Academy Awards. While at MacDowell she will work on the script for her next hybrid feature film Sun.
