Her collection of poems Hand Work received the Eileen W. Barnes Award in 1983. Murderous Music was published by Chicory Blue Press in 1995.

Anneliese Wagner worked in the Garland studio.

Marian MacDowell and friends originally named this studio in memory of Anna Baetz, the nurse who helped care for Edward MacDowell in the waning years of his life.
