Ava Wong Davies is a playwright and screenwriter based in London. Her theatre credits include Graceland (Royal Court Upstairs, 2023) and i will still be whole (when you rip me in half) (Bunker Theatre, 2019). In 2022, Graceland won the Ambassador Theatre Group Playwriting Award. Her play scum was shortlisted for the 2020 Verity Bargate and Tony Craze awards, and long listed for the Women's Prize for Playwriting in 2021.

Wong Davies has participated in the Soho Theatre Writers Lab, the Bush Theatre Emerging Writers Group, North Wall Catalyst, and the Royal Court Playwriting Group. She is also a consulting producer on season three of HBO's Industry.

While at MacDowell, she worked on a new play, Voyagers – a study of collaboration and the creative process through the story of an independent video game studio and its founders.

Van Zorn (formerly Kirby)

Ava Wong Davies worked in the Van Zorn (formerly Kirby) studio.

Constructed thanks to a bequest from Sarah L. Kirby, Kirby Studio was the last new building to be erected during Mrs. MacDowell’s leadership (1907-1951).
