C.M. Mayo is the author of The Last Prince of the Mexican Empire (Unbridled Books), a novel based on the true story and named a Library Journal Best Book, 2009. Her other works of fiction include Sky Over El Nido (U Georgia Pr), which won the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction. She is also the author of several nonfiction works on Mexico, most recently, Metaphysical Odyssey into the Mexican Revolution: Francisco I. Madero and His Secret Book, Spiritist Manual. Her latest book is Meteor, which won the Gival Press Award for Poetry. Member, Texas Institute of Letters.

Delta Omicron

C.M. Mayo worked in the Delta Omicron studio.

Delta Omicron Studio was funded by members of the international musical fraternity in 1927. The building design is somewhat medieval in character, with an unusual cedar shingle pattern, a steeply pitched slate roof, intersecting gables, and small windows.
