Cameron Harvey is a visual artist who works primarily in painting. Her current body of work consists of large, unstretched, acrylic paintings on canvas that she makes on the floor using her entire body. When installed, the paintings drape with gravity and address ideas about diversity within the common form of the midline, the human relationship with the natural world, impermanence, transformation, interconnectedness, and forces larger than ourselves.
At MacDowell, Harvey focused on making a new body of work, titled Family of Things, that will be shown at the Toronto Biennial, curated by Allison Glenn, opening in September 2026.
