Casey is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, animator, and artist with a B.A. in sociology from Brown University. He has been a Short to Feature Lab Fellow, a Valentine and Clark Emerging Artist Fellow at The Jacob Burns Film Center, a Silver Sun artist in residence, and a mentor at the Sundance REI x GFS Fellowship.

His animated short film Flora Borealis was composed of 17,000 hand-drawn frames, is the only film to use 3D scans of the Harvard Glass Flowers, and premiered at The New Orleans Film Festival.

While at MacDowell, he worked on developing Flora Borealis into an animated feature film. The film was selected to participate in IFP/Gotham Week.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
