Chad Lange is a writer, educator, and senior editor for the Exploratorium, a San Francisco-based museum devoted to the exploration of science, art, and human perception. He oversees all editorial needs for the institutional strands of the museum: development, marketing, and membership. He has written one novel and is at work on a second. Lange has received writing Fellowships at some of the most prestigious residencies in the country, including MacDowell, The Millay Colony for the Arts, and The Ragdale Foundation. His short stories have appeared in several publications, including ZYZZYVA and Fourteen Hills.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
