Christopher Bolin is an American poet. His collection, Ascension Theory (University of Iowa Press), was a Foreword Reviews “Book of the Year Award” finalist. He has published in jubilat, Lana Turner, Post Road, and other journals. A recipient of fellowships from MacDowell, Yaddo, and the James A. Michener Foundation, Bolin’s next poetry collection was scheduled for publication from the University of Iowa Press in 2018. Currently, he teaches at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University, in Minnesota.

Marian MacDowell and friends originally named this studio in memory of Anna Baetz, the nurse who helped care for Edward MacDowell in the waning years of his life.
