Cindy Juyoung Ok is a writer and educator with poems published in Poetry, The Nation, The Yale Review, Narrative Magazine, Black Warrior Review, The Massachusetts Review, and in the chapbook House Work (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2023).

She has been a Fellow at Vermont Studio Center, Hambidge Center, and Ucross Foundation. She recently taught creative writing at Wellesley College, Wichita State University, and University of California San Diego.

While at MacDowell, Ok wrote several new poems, including one involving other Fellows, and two essays. During the residency, Ok received the news that her manuscript, Ward Toward, was chosen for the Yale Series of Younger Poets prize by Rae Armantrout and will be published in spring 2024.
