Dan LeFranc worked on several plays and screenplays. His play Troublemaker was commissioned by Berkeley Repertory Theatre and was produced there in 2013. His play The Big Meal premiered at ATC (Chicago), ran Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons and made its UK premiere in 2014. It has been nominated for the Lortel, Drama Desk and Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best New Play and named Time Out Chicago’s "#1 Play of 2011." Other plays include Sixty Miles to Silver Lake (SoHo Rep, P73, NYC, 2010 New York Times Outstanding Playwright Award), Origin Story, Bruise Easy and Night Surf. LeFranc has written for the Showtime television drama The Affair, which received a WGA Award Nomination for Best New Series and won the 2015 Golden Globe Award for Best Drama. He sometimes teaches at the Yale School of Drama and is the playwright-in-residence of Playwrights Horizons.
