Erin Shirreff is a Canadian-born, New York-based artist who works primarily in photography, sculpture, and video. In 2011, Shirreff was the recipient of both The Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant and the Canada Council for the Arts Project Grant. She has also won the Aimia/AGO Photography Prize from the Art Gallery of Ontario In 2005, Shirreff received The Hayward Prize for Fine Arts from The Austrian-American Foundation. She has also been an artist-in-residence at Artpace in San Antonio, Texas (2013), at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas (2011), at The Western Front Society in Vancouver, British Columbia (2010), at MacDowell, and the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture in Dawson City, Yukon (2005).
