Erin Singer was born in Arcola, Saskatchewan, and lives in Las Vegas. Her novel Dangerland! will be published by Summit Books in July 2026. Her short stories have appeared in Ploughshares and Conjunctions. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers.

While at MacDowell, Singer worked on the first draft of a novel about a female member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police working in rural Saskatchewan.

Sorosis

Erin Singer worked in the Sorosis studio.

Sorosis Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small, masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
