Felipe Franco Munhoz is the author of A bússola adúltera (Ars et Vita, 2024), Dissoluções (Record, 2024), Lanternas ao nirvana (Record, 2022), Identidades
(Nós, 2018), and Mentiras (Nós, 2016). From Russian, he translated O Cavaleiro de Bronze e outros poemas (Kalinka, 2022), a selection of Pushkin’s poetry. He is also the co-author of Guide to a Fall (University of Iowa International Writing Program, 2025) with Nada Alturki.
His work has received support from the International Writing Program, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Santa Maddalena Foundation (Italy), Ucross Foundation, Art Omi, Sangam House (India), Itamaraty: Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Brazil), Funarte (Brazil), and others.
While at MacDowell, Franco Munhoz worked on a fragmentary and multilayered book (in English) – blending prose, stage directions, poetry, visual poetry and images. Among revisions made and other fragments created, he wrote a landscape inspired by one of Mansfield Studio’s windows. He also started a collaboration for a new choral piece with composer and Fellow Finola Merivale.
