Hamilton C. MacDougal (1858-1945) was an American composer, organist, and professor of music at Wellesley College. He wrote Early New England Psalmody: An Historical Appreciation, 1620-1820 (1940), First Lessons in Extemporizing on the Organ (1858), and the magazine Studies in Melody Playing for Piano Pupils (1890).
