Helene Massey-Hemmans, was able to complete five works of sculpture while in residence. Three of these pieces were her series on women writers. These pieces would eventually be cast in bronze and be shown in various colleges and museums. "In my artist statement, I will certainly say that this was made possible by my fellowship at MacDowell Art Colony, Peterborough, NH."
