Jackie Sibblies Drury is a playwright who worked on a theater piece about forests and farms during her 2011 residency. Her play We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as Southwest Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884–1915 was performed at the Bay Area Playwrights Festival and was produced at Chicago's Victory Gardens Theater in 2012. She has also written the plays Social Creatures (2013), Really (2016), Fairview (2018), and Marys Seacole (2019). Fairview, an examination of race, won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
