Jane Yeh is the author of three poetry collections – Discipline, The Ninjas, and Marabou – all published by Carcanet in the UK. Her poems have appeared in publications such as The New York Review of Books, The New Republic, Granta, and Poetry. Yeh was a Writer in Residence at Gladstone's Library (Wales) in 2023. She was born and educated in the U.S. and has lived in London since 2002.

While at MacDowell, Yeh wrote poems prompted by works by contemporary artists including Carrie Mae Weems and Soheila Sokhanvari, which will be published in her fourth collection of poems, forthcoming in 2027 from Carcanet Press in the UK. Other poems in the forthcoming collection have been published in The New York Review of Books, The Kenyon Review, The Yale Review, and Poetry London.

Wood

Jane Yeh worked in the Wood studio.

Wood Studio, given to the residency program by Mrs. Frederick Trevor Hill, was completed in 1913 in memory of Mrs. Hill’s mother, Helen Ogden Wood. Like Schelling Studio, the building is sided with large, overlapping pieces of hemlock bark.
