Jean Hanff Korelitz is a novelist, essayist, and playwright who was born and raised in New York City. She studied at Dartmouth College and Clare College, Cambridge. She has authored six novels with two more forthcoming and co-adapted James Joyce’ The Dead into a theatrical event with poet and MacDowell Fellow Paul Muldoon (88, 89). Korelitz founded BOOKTHEWRITER, a New York-based service that offers pop-up groups where readers and authors can discuss literature. She currently lives in New York City with her husband, Paul and their two children.
