Jean Nathan worked on her second book. It is about about Simone Jollivet, Jean-Paul Sartre's first love, preceding Simone de Beauvoir, and the subsequent 40-year friendship of the three. A movie based on her first book, The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll, a biography of the children's book author and photographer Dare Wright, was in production as of March 2016.
