Joe Aguilar lives in Worcester, MA, where he teaches at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. His writing can be found in Strange Horizons, XRAY, and Conjunctions. He’s received fellowships at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop. He co-edits the flash speculative journal hex literary with Kate McIntyre and Danny Miller.

While at MacDowell, Aguilar worked on a novel titled Raúl, My Love! along with short stories.

Wood

Joseph Aguilar worked in the Wood studio.

Wood Studio, given to the residency program by Mrs. Frederick Trevor Hill, was completed in 1913 in memory of Mrs. Hill’s mother, Helen Ogden Wood. Like Schelling Studio, the building is sided with large, overlapping pieces of hemlock bark.
