Joshua Yaffa is the Moscow correspondent for The New Yorker. Over the past six years of being based in Russia, he has also written for The Economist, The New York Times Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, Foreign Affairs, The New Republic, and other publications. He was previously a fellow at New America.
At MacDowell he completed two chapters from his upcoming book about Russia in the age of Putin to be published by Tim Duggan Books. He was named the Bosch Fellow in Public Policy at the American Academy in Berlin for fall 2018.
