Judith Frank holds a B.A. from the Hebrew University, and an M.F.A. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. They are the author of Crybaby Butch (Firebrand Books, 2004), which was awarded a Lambda Literary Award in 2005. In 2008, they received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship for All I Love and Know. They have been a resident at Yaddo as well as MacDowell, and has published short fiction in The Massachusetts Review, other voices, and Best Lesbian Love Stories 2005. Frank teaches English and creative writing at Amherst College, and lives with their partner and two children in Amherst, MA.

Van Zorn (formerly Kirby)

Judith Frank worked in the Van Zorn (formerly Kirby) studio.

Constructed thanks to a bequest from Sarah L. Kirby, Kirby Studio was the last new building to be erected during Mrs. MacDowell’s leadership (1907-1951).
