Leyuan Li is a Chinese architect, educator, and researcher whose professional and academic work focuses on the agency of the architectural interior in the articulation of spaces and societies. He is an assistant professor of architecture at the University of Colorado and founder of Office for Roundtable. Recent projects have been featured on various design platforms, such as ArchDaily, Designboom, PLOT, and The Architect’s Newspaper, as well as been exhibited at national and international venues, such as the History Colorado Center in Denver, the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, and the 9th Bi-City Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism in Shenzhen.

While at MacDowell, Li redeveloped the prototype for his ongoing project, "Your Greenhouse Is Your Kitchen Is Your Living Room." He created a series of new drawings and completed a presentation exploring contemporary projects and practices in communal farming. This project was named a finalist for both the 2025 Dezeen Awards and the 6th Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents. Additionally, it was featured in the 14th São Paulo International Architecture Biennale.

Heinz

Leyuan Li worked in the Heinz studio.

The icehouse, built of fieldstone in 1914–1915, was a practical part of Marian MacDowell’s plan for a self-sufficient farm.
