Ling Sepúlveda (b.1982) is from Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico. Sepúlveda’s artistic practice links the spectator with themes such as power, subjugation, simulation, and gaming. His sound production, video intalations, and performances have been exhibited in venues such as Fundation Colecction Jumex, Casa del Lago Juan José Arreola, and Space Vanderth Borth. Sepúlveda has received various awards including: the acquisition prize of the 13th Visual Art Biennial of the Northwest, honorable mention in the IV National Biennial of Emerging Art in Monterrey Nuevo León, 2012, the Scholarship Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes, 2013-2016, and recived the residences program in Flora Ars + Natura y Casa de Lago México, 2016 and crossed the regular program in SOMA, México 2013-2014 where he founded The World Ceviche Championship. In residence he made a new project Yes, I am. Yes, you are, a performance film.

Ling Sepúlveda worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
