Lou Haney painted a solo show for the University of Mississippi Museum. Haney received an Individual Visual Arts Fellowship from the Mississippi Arts Commission in 2008. She is employed by the University as an assistant professor of art.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow.
