Visual artist Maeve D’Arcy has exhibited her work in New York, London, and Ireland. She earned her M.A. in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London, and a B.A. from CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies where she received the Thomas W. Smith Academic Fellowship, and the Diego Hidalgo Scholarship for the Arts. She has attended many residencies including Saltonstall, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Yaddo. D’Arcy is the recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts 2025 Queens Arts Fund Grant.

While at MacDowell, D’Arcy worked on a series of new paintings for her upcoming 2025 solo show Off the Record and Other Stories at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, in Chelsea, NY.

Maeve D’Arcy worked in the Cheney studio.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
