Mai Nardone is a Thai and American writer. Welcome Me to the Kingdom, his first book, was a New York Times Editors' Choice and long-listed for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize. He's received fellowships from Bread Loaf, Kundiman, and MacDowell, and he lives in Bangkok.
At MacDowell in 2015, Nardone completed the first draft of Welcome Me to the Kingdom. During his 2025 residency, he worked on edits for his debut novel Perfections, forthcoming from Random House.

Sorosis
Mai Nardone worked in the Sorosis studio.
Sorosis
Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small,
masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also
designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
At
the time of construction, the large porch on the southeast façade
offered a spectacular mountain view that has since been obscured…
