Margaret Ross is the author of A Timeshare (Omnidawn, 2015) and Saturday (The Song Cave, 2024). Her work has been recognized by a Harper-Schmidt Fellowship, a Wallace Stegner Fellowship, a Fulbright grant, a Pushcart Prize, and a VSC/Luce Foundation Chinese Poetry & Translation Fellowship. Recent poems and translations have appeared in The Believer, The Best American Poetry, Granta, Harper's, The Paris Review, and Poetry. She currently teaches at the Iowa Writers' Workshop.

While at MacDowell, Ross worked on new poems and revised translations for a forthcoming bilingual anthology of poetry by Huang Fan.

Wood

Margaret Ross worked in the Wood studio.

Wood Studio, given to the residency program by Mrs. Frederick Trevor Hill, was completed in 1913 in memory of Mrs. Hill’s mother, Helen Ogden Wood. Like Schelling Studio, the building is sided with large, overlapping pieces of hemlock bark.
