Michele Kong is a visual artist who identifies her work and somewhere between sculpture and installation art. She received her B.F.A. in studio arts from the University of Colorado in Boulder, her M.F.A. in sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, and also studied in Florence, Italy.

She has exhibited widely in a variety of venues, including, Museo de Bellas Artes in Santiago, Chile.

At MacDowell, she focused on the first in her series of site-responsive outdoor installations titled "Microworlds." Her work was exhibited at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, NE, and at Maryland Art Place in Baltimore, MD, in 2005.
