Oscar Morel is an artist from the Bronx focusing on painting and collaged works. He graduated with an M.F.A. from Boston University in May 2022. Just before coming to MacDowell, he participated in a residency at MassMOCA in North Adams, MA.
While at MacDowell, Oscar worked on a collage painting to be shown in the Untitled Duo show at Lamontagne Gallery in Boston.

The icehouse, built of fieldstone in 1914–1915, was a practical part of Marian MacDowell’s plan for a self-sufficient farm.
