Rachael Warecki's work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Masters Review, Hypertext, Midwestern Gothic, Tahoma Literary Review, and elsewhere. She holds an M.F.A. in fiction from Antioch University Los Angeles, and she is a 2021-22 BookEnds Fellow and an emerita member of the leadership team of Women Who Submit. Her work has received support from Ragdale and the Wellstone Center, as well as contest recognition from Tiferet, American Short Fiction, Glimmer Train, Boulevard, and PRISM.

While at MacDowell, she revised her novel-in-progress, a hard-boiled mystery tentatively titled The Split Decision, which was a finalist for the 2019 CRAFT First Chapters Prize. She also worked on the first draft of the novel's sequel.
