Rachel Monroe is a freelance journalist whose work has appeared in The New Yorker, New York, Texas Monthly, Bookforum, Oxford American, and elsewhere. While at MacDowell, she completed a section of her book A Life in Crimes: Women, Murder and Obsession, which was to be published by Scribner in 2019.
