At MacDowell, Sarah White, made final revisions of her poetry collection, "Cleopatra Haunts the Hudson" (Spuyten Duyvil, 2006), and worked on a watercolor image for the book's cover. She also completed a draft of "Lives and Reasons," a personal essay in mixed prose and verse on the troubadour notion of "far love."

Given to the residency by the Monday Music Club of Orange, NJ, Monday Music Studio is sited next to an enormous boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago.
