Composer Sivan Eldar’s work has been described as “meditative and captivating" (l’Humanité), “sonically luxurious” (ResMusica), and "with a unique sensitivity to dramaturgy" (Diapason).

She has performed at Centre Pompidou, Luxembourg Philharmonie, Theatre du Chatelet, and Ultraschall Berlin, among others. Upcoming projects include the opera Like Flesh with playwright Cordelia Lynn (Opéra de Lille), a sound installation for MahN museum (Neuchatel), and a percussion concerto for the Gulbenkian Orchestra. She is also a composer-in-residence with Montpellier Opera and IRCAM.

Irving Fine

Sivan Eldar worked in the Irving Fine studio.

Youngstown Studio was given to MacDowell by friends of Miss Myra McKeown in Youngstown, OH, where she promoted both art and music. It was renamed Irving Fine Studio in 1972 in honor of Irving Fine, a distinguished composer, conductor, and teacher who was a MacDowell Fellow during the 1940s and 1950s.
