Susan Carlson is a performer known as Black-Eyed Susan and is currently working on a durational performance called Dead Time of Plenty with director Mallory Catlett. Her last collaboration with Catlett, This Was the End, won a 2014 Obie Award. She was a founder of The Ridiculous Theatrical Company and worked with Charles Ludlam for 20 years. She has also been a frequent collaborator with MacDowell Fellows Stuart Sherman and John Jesurun.

Delta Omicron

Susan Carlson worked in the Delta Omicron studio.

Delta Omicron Studio was funded by members of the international musical fraternity in 1927. The building design is somewhat medieval in character, with an unusual cedar shingle pattern, a steeply pitched slate roof, intersecting gables, and small windows.
