Trey Moody is the author of the poetry collections Autoblivion (Conduit Books & Ephemera, 2023) and Thought That Nature (Sarabande Books, 2014). His work has received support from the Academy of American Poets, the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, the Poetry Society of America, and the Volland Foundation. His poems have appeared in The Atlantic, The Believer, and Poetry. He teaches at Creighton University.

While at MacDowell, Moody worked on new poems for his third poetry collection. He also participated in MacDowell in the Schools while in residence, presenting to a group of students from the Dublin School.

Trey Moody worked in the Garland studio.

Marian MacDowell and friends originally named this studio in memory of Anna Baetz, the nurse who helped care for Edward MacDowell in the waning years of his life.
