Valeria Vasilevski has her roots deep in the theater, dating back to original work with Jerzy Grotowski ('74) and evolving through performance art, dance theater, music theater, and “concert theater.” For 20 years she has collaborated with numerous new music composers, creating new and unusual texts and extending the relationship between text and music.

Van Zorn (formerly Kirby)

Valeria Vasilevski worked in the Van Zorn (formerly Kirby) studio.

Constructed thanks to a bequest from Sarah L. Kirby, Kirby Studio was the last new building to be erected during Mrs. MacDowell’s leadership (1907-1951).
