Since 1996, this program has been bringing the creative process to the classroom, and the classroom into the studio.
In 2025, MacDowell introduced eight Fellows to students from around the Monadnock region. From animation to music composition, theatre arts to book writing, elementary through high school students were left inspired and informed about what it looks like to be a working artist.

Students at the grade school, high school, and college levels in the Monadnock Region have a unique opportunity to learn from MacDowell Fellows, who generously share their expertise and passion to inspire the next generation of artists and art enthusiasts. Hundreds of students each year benefit from the program.
