For MacDowell's 66th annual Medal Day celebration, the festivities expand to highlight the art and artists of the Monadnock region.

Medal Day Weekend at Historic Harrisville

Historic Harrisville Open Studios
12:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M.

Spend an afternoon exploring the studios and learning from the resident artists and vendors of Historic Harrisville’s mill complex, including Anna Schuleit Haber, Anna Von Mertens, Harrisville Designs, Horse Hill Studio, and many more. Tours are self-guided and maps will be provided. Afterwards, have coffee or lunch at the Harrisville General Store—all registered attendees may redeem 10% off on one purchase for the day.

In Conversation: Du Yun and Nate Chinen
2:30 P.M. - 3:30 P.M.

Then, make your way over to the Village Community Center for a live conversation between acclaimed jazz critic Nate Chinen and award-winning musician and composer Du Yun. In honor of Anthony Braxton, the 66th Edward MacDowell Medalist, these MacDowell Fellows will discuss new directions in contemporary music and the art of composition.
