Corporate Partnerships
Contributions from corporations and businesses provide critical support to MacDowell and its efforts to nurture creativity among artists of the highest talent and promise. The organization works closely with global and local business leaders who recognize the value of financing creativity. National and international corporations and publishers contribute each year to MacDowell’s National Benefit in New York City. A host of businesses sponsor MacDowell’s annual Medal Day, the residency program’s free open house and annual celebration of creativity.
Here are a few of the many ways that corporations and businesses can support MacDowell:
Event Sponsorships
MacDowell hosts two annual fundraising events that provide direct support to artists through donations and sponsorships: the Medal Day in New Hampshire, and the National Benefit in New York City.
Fellowships
Many residencies are provided each year through Fellowships established by endowed and recurring corporate gifts. Gifts of $25,000 or more include naming opportunities and ensure that one or more of the 300 artists who come to work at MacDowell annually receive creative support and services. Several corporations have provided endowed Fellowships over the years as a meaningful way to support art and artists in perpetuity.
Community Programs
MacDowell’s vibrant community programs, MacDowell in the Schools and MacDowell Downtown, have inspired rich dialogues between professional artists and more than 7,000 students and adults in Peterborough and surrounding communities. These and other special initiatives, which have received corporate and foundation support, currently offer underwriting opportunities.
