The Herb Alpert/MacDowell Fellowship, administered by the California Institute of the Arts and funded by the Herb Alpert Foundation, seeks to identify those artists who contribute “something significant — even visionary — to contemporary life.” It supports non-New York artists in the interdisciplinary, film/video, and playwriting fields.
