Whiting Writers’ Aid Fund
Established in 1998
Established through a gift from the Mrs. Giles Whiting Foundation, MacDowell awards grants of up to $1,500 each to writers needing financial assistance to attend the residency. This program, made possible by the foundation’s generous support since 1998, provides a significant benefit to literature Fellows and serves as a model for stipend programs in other disciplines for which funding is being sought.
