Aileen Curry-Cloonan (1940-1988) grew up in Washington and Puerto Rico. She attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and graduated from the New School for Social Research in New York. A sculptor and painter, Curry-Cloonan studied in Italy before returning to New York City and Chicago.
