Alix Kates Shulman’s 14 books include five novels, from her 1972 debut, Memoirs of an Ex-Prom Queen, now published as a “feminist classic,” to the 2012 satire Ménage; three memoirs; and the collection A Marriage Agreement and Other Essays. She worked on her fifth novel, The Visionaries, and coediting the Library of America anthology Writing the Women’s Movement.
