Antonia Hayes is an Australian writer who grew up in Sydney, spent her twenties in Paris, and currently lives in San Francisco. She is the author of Relativity (Penguin Australia, 2015; Simon & Schuster USA, 2016; Little Brown UK, 2016) and is working on her second novel. Her work has been published in Best Australian Essays, Meanjin, The Sydney Morning Herald, Marie Claire, and others. Antonia has worked in publishing as a publicist and a bookseller, and co-directed Australia's National Young Writers' Festival.

Veltin

Antonia Hayes worked in the Veltin studio.

Veltin Studio was donated by alumni of the Veltin School, a school for girls in New York with a highly respected visual arts department. As the plaque just outside the entrance attests, this studio was used by poet Edwin Arlington Robinson during most of the 24 summers he spent at MacDowell.
